REGISTRATION INFO

Registration includes all events, meals, breaks, scientific sessions, and access to CME credit. Registration fees also go toward audio-visual expenses, meeting facility costs and other conference costs. Optional for guest registration rates for Friday and Saturday night events.  Registration rates: NPSA members: $550; Non-member surgeons: $650; Retired surgeons, support staff, RN, PA: $400; Residents/Medical Students/ Presenters of Abstracts: $275. Guest rate for both FlyOver Canada Social (Friday) and President's Banquet (Saturday): $220.  All rates in US dollars. To register, click HERE

MEETING CONTENT

Join us at the Hyatt Regency, Vancouver, BC.  Our keynote speaker is Professor Peter Brennan, FRCS (ENG). 

Several abstract presentations sessions are planned as well as panel discussions.

HOTEL ROOMS

Book your room at The Hyatt Regency. Room rates start at $249 (CAN) / nt plus tax. Registration link is on event registration page. IMPORTANT: Hotel rooms must be booked on the block using the official link provided by the Hyatt. The last day to reserve a room with the discounted room block rate is October 19. After that date all rooms will be released and availability cannot be guaranteed.

CME INFORMATION

This educational activity has been approved for 12.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. ttTo claim CME, attendees must complete and turn in the Evaluation - CME Claim Form. at the conclusion of the event.

Award of CME credits by ACS is based on compliance of the program with the ACCME accreditation requirements and does not imply endorsement by ACS of the content, the faculty, or the sponsor of the program.

AND

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program.

Program Objectives

At the completion of this education activity, participants will be able to better recognize gaps in their practice and training. They will be exposed to alternate subspecialties so that they might be able to cross-pollenate their practices. They will improve their knowledge in acute surgical care, oncology, breast surgery, endocrine surgery, trauma surgery, general surgery, surgical education, and healthcare delivery systems. Our invited professor, NPSA president, and historian will offer a wider perspective on surgical issues. In addition, through interactive panel discussions, participants will identify and illustrate innovative solutions related to challenging complications following obesity and trauma surgery.

Procedure: Register, download Whova, log in with your email once you have registered, set a password. Find the NPSA meeting, click that, then you're in. You can update your attendee profile and start using Whova!

Tips: Start using Whova right away to chat with attendees before the meeting.  If you are at the event in person, use Whova to post questions, chat with attendees, post pictures, etc. If you are a virtual attendee, consider running Whova from your laptop or tablet to watch virtual sessions and use your phone to chat with attendees, etc.
